Despite having sworn off away missions just a couple of weeks ago, Harry's once again on the Delta Flyer with Chakotay, Neelix, and Tom...and this time, he seems pretty chipper. (Hmm. Maybe it was the implanted memories that made him so crabby in "Memorial.") |
Tom is in his element, plotting to get out of work yet again. |
Harry gets sent into the Jeffries Tube again. (I didn't know there were Jeffries Tubes on the Delta Flyer.) |
The panel explodes, knocking Harry unconscious. (It would be Harry, poor kid.) |
Tom and the others fear the worst at Harry's sudden silence. |
Tom panics when he realizes Harry is missing. |
Tom gets shocked by the Borgy Bunch for trying to break out of the assimilation chamber. (If Harry's not around, Tom's the one who gets tortured.) |
Harry finally regains consciousness. (Nice position! ;-) |
Despite having been clobbered by an explosion during a space battle, Harry can't leave without packing up his toolkit first. What a neat freak! |
Diehard! Harry. |
As if he hadn't suffered enough for one episode, Harry gets tortured and nearly killed by the Borgy Bunch. Good thing he's beautiful when he suffers.... |
Well, this one had some good P/K moments. Like Tom's look of horror when Harry doesn't answer the comm. And his hissy fit in the assimilation chamber when they can't find Harry. The opening scene, with Chakotay, Paris, Kim, and Neelix playing poker, was fun. I like the idea of the seemingly innocent Neelix hustling the others.
I must say, Harry was a tasty morsel in this episode. Love that harness, and the longer hair. (But isn't it kind of silly for him to leave a trail of breadcrumbs? Why not use a tricorder or a padd and make a map?)
And poor Harry. Seven finally shows some concern for him, and even caresses his cheek, but he's not conscious to enjoy it!
We see B'Elanna at Ops this week, taking Harry's place. She doesn't seem particularly upset that Tom is captured, nor particularly happy when he is rescued. Maybe she found out that he told Seven about Toby the Targ last week.
With Chakotay gone, Janeway actually consults with Tuvok. And I liked the Tuvok-Harry bit, where he's guiding Harry through the Borg cube. Tuvok and Harry seem to have a much less antagonistic relationship that Tuvok and Paris. Harry's "haunted house" crack was very Paris-like, but not nearly as annoying as Paris would have made it. I was quite disappointed in how Seven-focused this was. (I am getting so tired of her!) We see Tom, Harry, Neelix, and Chuckles in the teaser, and then hardly see them again. It just seems wrong to resolve their situation with one line of dialog, just to lavish more time on Seven and the Borg brats. Grrr.
And this is the third week in a row we've seen the Chakotay, Paris, Kim, and Neelix combination. They "bonded" on a two-week shuttle mission in "Memorial," ditched B'Elanna to go to the fights in "Tsunkatse," and this week, it's poker night for the boys. Hmmm. What could it mean?
Probably that the writers have realized if they show those four together, rather than separately, they've freed up three more scenes for Seven....
