Garrett Wang on The Full Nelson

The Full Nelson is a very odd talk show. Apparently, the gimmick is actors arguing about political issues. Sort of like Celebrity Crossfire. Or Leno meets The McLaughlin Group.

Garrett didn't speak up much. The two other panelists, Lisa Edelstein and Amy Holmes, were outspoken. Garrett barely got a word in edgewise. When he did say something, it was thoughtful and articulate. He seems to be quite liberal, politically speaking. He said he liked President Clinton, and would vote for him for a third term, if he could. He also supported gay rights and the Vermont civil unions law, quite passionately, and that female general who accused another general of sexual harassment.

The host (Nelson, I presume) was a real boob. He kept saying En-SINE Kim. And he announced at the end that Voyager airs Tuesday nights. :-P

The funniest moment was at the end. Nelson asked each of the panelists what they would do if they found out their best friend's spouse was cheating on him or her. Garrett said he wouldn't tell. Nelson asked why not, and Garrett said, "I don't know! It's a Star Trek thing. Non-interference. The Prime Directive!"

Also at the end, Nelson announced that Amy Holmes was one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. Garrett smiled at that - remembering when it was him, maybe?

Oh, and the clip they chose to introduce Garrett was from "The Chute"!
